I was fortunate to be raised in an environment of open and honest communication about my body and how to care for it. I have lived my adult years with complete reproductive freedom. Because of my late grandfather's occupation, I will never take this freedom for granted.

My grandfather ran a family funeral home in Ohio for many years and saw what life was like for many unfortunate women who had no choice prior to Roe v. Wade. As gruesome as the details were that were relayed to me, it has served as a stark reminder of what life was like and will be like again if Roe is overturned. Women will find a way to terminate a pregnancy, even if their life is at stake.

My husband and I will continue to support the Freedom Fund of Planned Parenthood with time and money and will never stop fighting to protect the reproductive rights of women.
